How we met

In 2014, Genni & Sean met at the Apple Store and became friends. With Genni ensuring everyone was operating at efficiency, Sean had to be on his best behavior as he helped teams learn and develop... he definitely did not want to get in trouble with Genni.

Long lost best friends

Sean had once asked his father, "How did you know Mom was the one you wanted to be with?" Sean's father replied, "You'll just know. You'll feel it and you'll have no doubts." Sean was reminded of this feeling when he reunited with Genni after several years of being friends. Genni was Sean's +1 to one of his best friend's wedding and were inseparable ever since. And although Genni & Sean were living hundreds of miles apart, they found ways to deepen their connection and make it work.

Past • Present • Future

The Proposal

Sean led Genni to believe they were going hiking in the Pacific Palisades for the weekend. In reality, all Sean needed was an excuse to drive to a spot called "Friends Street" which is right by the Pacific Palisades Bluffs that overlooks West LA, Malibu, and the ocean. While en route to go "hiking," Genni & Sean grabbed coffee and doughnuts and Sean suggested to finish the coffee by "Friends Street" before they went hiking. They walked to the edge of the bluffs and sat on the ledge of the barrier overlooking the area they met, where they worked, and blue sky and ocean. As Genni is just staring out, Sean begins to describe their past and how amazing it has been to develop their core connection as friends. It was around 5 years ago at the same spot where they had a friendly discussion about marriage, life, and kids. Sean then began to share his gratitude toward Genni on the present. Appreciate how far they've grown together and where they are now. He noted how happy he is being with her. Sean then gets up between the barrier and the edge of the cliff as he talks about their future, and how excited he is to share a bright future and how lucky he is to have a partner in life to thrive with. Genni oblvious to Sean's movement continues to stare out onto the ocean while listening to his words. He gets on one knee and pops the question, "Will you marry me?" and all Genni could say is "Oh my God" "Oh my God" "What?!" Genni immediately grabbed Sean and he received the biggest hug he's ever received. Genni in shock, would not let him go and could not even look at her hand with her shiny new ring.

Genni and Sean are so grateful for the love and support of all our family and friends. Due to current circumstances, they decided to keep their marriage ceremony private as all of you were in their hearts. For Genni's birthday, Sean took Genni to Santa Barbara, California. Even though the world is in the midst of a pandemic, Santa Barbara offered a safe, beautiful environment that made it easy for Genni and Sean to envision as the place they would eventually marry each other. On 2 • 1 • 21 in Santa Barbara, California, Genni and Sean exchanged their vows in an intimate ceremony with each other. Please take a look at the photographs captured from this magical day.
