What is the best way to get to The Island?

Answer

The Island is conveniently located in the heart of Surfers Paradise with both parking and public transport options available. If you wish to drive and park near the venue, we recommend the Bruce Bishop car park. This is located right next to The Island and is priced at maximum $19 per day. If you are staying the night in Surfers Paradise, you may also wish to enquire with your hotel about parking options available onsite and walk or use public transport to get to the venue. If you are staying on the Gold Coast and wish to use public transport, The Island is a 3 minute walk from Cavill Avenue Station. You can catch the tram for just 50 cents each way. Good news, no need to have a Go Card set up, you are also able to use your Visa or Mastercard for payment, tapping on/off at the tram stops. The tram runs through Southport, Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach so even if you aren't staying right near the venue, you still might like to check if there is a stop near your accommodation.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Take it as a good excuse to get all dressed up! The dress code for our wedding is formal cocktail, which is also a requirement of our venue. Ladies, we'd love to see your best dresses, jumpsuits or pant suits. Gentlemen, the venue requires enclosed dress shoes, collared/button up shirts and dress pants.

Do I need to RSVP?

Answer

Yes - please RSVP on time as we will be finalising numbers of guests with our venue. Unfortunately, we will not be able to add on guests who do not RSVP prior to the listed date and will have to assume that no RSVP means you will not be attending.
