Genevieve and Alfonso matched on Hinge in December 2019. Much like COVID-19, their relationship took a couple months and a few in person meetings to reach full strength, but by March 2020 things were in full force. Since then, they've done 3 months of long distance, moved in together in a snowstorm, had a major skiing accident, gotten a dog, travelled a lot, and planned a future together! Genevieve, Alfonso, and Shakira now live in Bushwick, Brooklyn, New York. Genevieve is a Legal Operations Manager at a startup, and Alfonso is an Attorney at a (different!) startup.

Alfonso made the first AND the second move. A "like" on Hinge followed by a "just following up to see if you wanted to chat..." message 3 weeks later. Genevieve is a procrastinator, even in love!

Genevieve said "I love you" first AND second. Two months in, Alfonso got an unceremonious "Love you, bye!" on her way out the door. Months later, while on a skiing trip, Genevieve did it again, for real.
