Frequently Asked Questions

The Wedding Website of GENEVIEVE WONG and AIDAN CHOO
Question

Do I need to RSVP?

Answer

We eagerly anticipate hearing from you. Your response will add to the joy of our special day, so please share your decision as soon as you can!

Question

What should I consider when selecting my attire?

Answer

In celebrating the beautiful diversity of individual styles, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for your understanding and cooperation in preserving the sanctity of our Nuptial Mass. Your choice of attire, reflecting modesty and respect, is deeply appreciated as we unite in the sacredness of this union within a Catholic Church. As we embrace the warmth of the afternoon and the absence of air-conditioning within the Church, we lovingly encourage you to select attire suitable for the season. Opting for fabrics and outfits suitable for warmer temperatures will ensure your comfort and enjoyment throughout the ceremony.

Question

What time should I arrive for the Nuptial Mass?

Answer

Your presence is cherished as we begin our Nuptial Mass at 2 pm. To ensure you can fully immerse yourself in the solemnity of the occasion, we kindly ask that you plan to be comfortably seated inside the Church by 1:45 pm. This timing allows for a relaxed transition into the sacred space to witness the exchange of vows and the celebration of love. Please consider this when planning your arrival, allowing time for parking, restroom visits and finding your preferred seat within the Church.

Question

Where can I park my car?

Answer

There are several designated parking areas within the church grounds, including spaces in front of the parish office, behind the church, and in front of the classrooms. Additionally, there is ample parking available in the field belonging to the Church, conveniently located beside the Church and accessible via a separate gate. In the event that parking spaces within the Church or the field are full, we encourage guests to park in the Mantin town area while being mindful not to obstruct traffic or violate any traffic rules. We kindly request that all vehicles within the Church grounds be adjourned by 4 pm to accommodate parishioners attending the Sunset Mass, ensuring a smooth transition for everyone.

Question

Can I bring a date to the Nuptial Mass?

Answer

Absolutely! We wholeheartedly welcome your guest to share in the joy of our Sacrament of Matrimony. Please check with us in advance so we can ensure ample seating arrangements for your companion.

Question

What do I do during the Nuptial Mass if I am not Catholic?

Answer

At our Nuptial Mass, our beloved guests, regardless of religious affiliation or background, are embraced with open hearts and welcomed to participate in a manner that feels comfortable for you. You may choose to join in the prayers, hymns and moments of reflection alongside our Catholic community or offer your own prayers silently according to your own beliefs. You are also most welcome to respectfully observe the Nuptial Mass. You can quietly sit and enjoy the ceremony, listen to the prayers and hymns and witness the exchange of vows and blessings. There is no expectation for you to participate in any specific religious rituals. Simply being present with us is a wonderful way to support and share in our joyous occasion. We warmly invite you to sit and witness our beliefs and traditions, especially during certain aspects of the Mass, such as Holy Communion that is reserved for baptised and actively practicing Catholics. If you have any questions or concerns about the Mass or Catholic practices, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to ensure that you, as our beloved guest, feel included and valued as we celebrate the Sacrament of Marriage, a sacred union in the Catholic faith. Your presence, whether actively participating or simply observing, is a cherished part of our celebration. Your support and companionship on our special day are gifts we are truly grateful for.

Question

A Loving Request...

Answer

As we celebrate this blessed occasion together, the safety and well-being of all our cherished guests remain our utmost priority. With love and consideration for one another, we kindly request all our beloved family and friends joining us today to utilise the COVID-19 Self-Test Kit as an additional precaution. Your cooperation will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of those who may be more vulnerable among us. Additionally, we lovingly urge anyone experiencing symptoms to please prioritise their well-being and remain at home, joining us in spirit. Our foremost wish is for your swift and complete recovery. Your understanding and care are deeply appreciated as we unite in love and celebration. Together, let us create an atmosphere of warmth, joy and safety for all.
