We met while working at Orca…living in different states but somehow finding our way to each other anyway. A few weeks later, Patrick came home for the holidays, and we spent Christmas break together. We rang in the New Year already planning when we’d see each other again. That next visit? A weekend getaway in the Colorado mountains, where things began to really fall into place. We made a promise to never go more than a month without seeing each other, whether that meant flights, long drives, or spontaneous trips. And we kept that promise for two and a half years.
