We Are Getting Married

When Genesis was nine and Gervin was ten, Genesis noticed him from across the room and thought he was cute. A few years later, Genesis found a creative way to get Gervin's attention by sending her little brother over to bother him, knowing she would eventually be sent over to retrieve him. What started as a childhood crush quickly grew into a friendship. Over the years, life pulled them apart and brought them back together more than once. They reconnected in high school, became even closer, and then lost touch again after Gervin's graduation. Two years later, Gervin sent a message to Genesis on Instagram after spotting her driving by and admitted he couldn't stop thinking about her for months. That message changed everything.
