Dress code is beach cocktail attire. Wear whatever colors you'd like, but please no white dresses for the ladies. Gentlemen need not wear a suit jacket unless they'd prefer to.
Ocean City MD is where Braden and Genesis took most of their beach trips together in high school. It is also where Genesis's family always vacationed together when she was growing up. The town is so much fun and there is plenty do to, and the beaches are beautiful and clean!
In lieu of a traditional reception, we opted to have a 2-hour dinner with cake and a first dance. This is due to the small size of the wedding and the desire to spend meaningful time with our guests chatting and sharing a meal.
If your accommodations are further than walking distance, there will be parking near the event at the dinner venue (Coastal 59 Dining Room, 5909 Coastal Hwy). There is also bus service every 15 minutes from 6:00am - 3:00am in the city for $4/day (exact cash required). See the bus stop map here: https://oceancitymd.gov/oc/departments/public-works/transportation/ocean-city-bus-map/
Due to a number of reasons (moving out of our apartment immediately after the wedding, spending an extended amount of time abroad, and then immediately moving to another state once we get back), we would prefer not to receive physical gifts. Of course no gifts are expected, but if you would strongly prefer to gift us an item rather than one of the options on the registry, please reach out to the couple to obtain a shipping address.
An inclement weather space is provided by the venue should it be necessary. The location will be provided day-of if it is deemed necessary.
If you got an invitation but not a Save the Date, we are so sorry! We promise we sent you one. Unfortunately, there were several guests that did not receive theirs. We assume they were lost in the mail. We will have a few extras at the wedding that we can give out to those that did not get one and would like one as a memento.
