We're Getting Married!

David and Genesis met when they were just kids in their home country, the Dominican Republic. They went to the same school as kids and had no idea what the future was going to hold for them. David was in the same graduating class as her older sister Cinthya. He always thought of Genesis as his friends' little sister and nothing more. David and Cinthya became great friends and even after going their separate ways, kept in touch. Years later, they reunited in New York. When David bumped into Genesis again, he immediately felt the spark. At the time, Genesis was getting ready to go away for college. David made it a priority to be involved by visiting frequently. Genesis was taken aback by all his support, respect and persistence. David and Genesis have been inseparable ever since. They continue to support each other and root for each other as they build their new life together.

David had been planning to propose for a long time but he never got around to doing it until Genesis started talking about moving out of her parents' house. That was when David knew it was the perfect time to make the move. David reached out to Cinthya for help plan a surprise proposal. Cinthya suggested he should pop the question at a restaurant, but David knew Genesis better. Instead, he wanted it to be more intimate. The day of the proposal, David picked Genesis up and took her out for "dinner." When they got to the mall, where the restaurant was, Genesis kept asking what time they were going to go eat. David kept stalling and . Genesis had no clue as of why. As they waited, and waited, Genesis received a call from her sister saying that she needs her to come over immediately. Genesis was confused and told David about the weird call and David insisted we go and see what Cinthya wanted. When Genesis walked into her sister's house, she saw a big sign on the wall that said "Marry Me." She was speechless and couldn't believe her eyes. She wasn't sure who the sign was for. When she turned around she saw her parents, sisters, friends and David's family all coming out of the bedroom. That's when she realized the proposal was for her! David got on one knee and said: Will you marry me? And of course she said YES! She finally was going to marry the love of her life.
