We'll be celebrating in Cartagena from December 28-30, 2026! We plan to stay through January 1st for New Year's, so feel free to extend your stay and enjoy a few extra days in Cartagena with us!
We’ve recommended a few hotel options and accommodations under the “Travel & Accommodations” tab on our website for guests to reference while planning their trip. Guests are welcome to stay wherever they’d like, but we highly recommend staying within Cartagena’s Historic Center/Walled City so you’ll be close to all of the wedding events.
Yes! Cartagena is a very popular tourist destination and the areas where our wedding events will take place are well-traveled and tourist friendly. As with traveling anywhere, we recommend staying aware of your surroundings and using normal precautions while exploring and enjoying the city.
No visa is required for most guests traveling from the United States for trips under 90 days. Please ensure your passport is valid for at least six months after December 29th, 2026.
Yes! Colombia requires travelers to complete the Check-Mig immigration form within 72 hours before arrival. The form is free and can be completed online using the official website here: https://apps.migracioncolombia.gov.co/pre-registro/en
The local currency in Colombia is the Colombian Peso (COP). Credit cards are accepted at most restaurants, bars, and hotels, but we definitely recommend having some cash on hand for taxis, street vendors, smaller shops, and tips. You can exchange currency before traveling, use ATMs once you arrive, or visit a local exchange location in Cartagena.
Uber works very well in Cartagena and is usually the easiest option for getting around. If you’re staying in the Walled City or Getsemaní, many restaurants, bars, and attractions are also within walking distance. Taxis are readily available as well, though we recommend confirming the fare before starting your trip.
Taxis and Uber are both widely available and reliable options for airport transportation in Cartagena. If taking a taxi, we recommend confirming the fare before starting your ride.
You can expect warm Caribbean weather with temperatures usually ranging from the high 70s to mid 80s. We recommend bringing lightweight clothing and packing as you would for a warm tropical vacation.
We kindly ask that all guests arrive by 4:40 PM to ensure everyone is seated before our wedding ceremony, which will begin promptly at 5:00 PM.
Both our ceremony and reception will take place outdoors in a beautiful open-air garden setting.
While we wish we could accommodate everyone, we’re unfortunately only able to accommodate guests formally listed on each invitation due to venue capacity. If a plus one has been reserved for you, it will be indicated on your invitation and RSVP.
The Welcome Party dress code is All White Cocktail Attire. We kindly ask guests to wear all white cocktail attire, with lightweight fabrics and linen styles highly encouraged.
The wedding day dress code is Formal Attire. We encourage guests to embrace bright and colorful formalwear inspired by the tropical atmosphere and vibrant energy of the city. Ladies: Floor-length gowns or formal dresses Gentlemen: Suits or tuxedos
We truly hope you’ll be able to join us in Cartagena! We understand destination weddings require extra travel and planning, so we kindly ask that all guests RSVP no later than September 30th, 2026.
