We prefer that all guests be fully vaccinated and boosted. If you are not boosted, you must take a COVID test the morning of each event you attend. #GeneseeAndBrandon2024. Please capitalize the first letter of our names, as well as "And" so that screen readers can easily read the hashtag.

Question

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

They will all take place inside the Seattle Aquarium. The ceremony and reception will take place in front of the largest tank in the aquarium, the Window on Washington Waters exhibit. The cocktail hour will take place throughout the rest of the aquarium, but drinks will be served in the Life on the Edge exhibit (touch tank room). If you choose to explore the aquarium, note that some areas are uncovered and may be cooler depending on the weather.

Question

How do I get to the wedding venue? Will transportation be provided? What is the parking situation?

Answer

The best ways to get to the wedding venue are to drive or take a Lyft. There will not be any transportation provided to and from the aquarium. Since Seattle in the winter has a high chance of rain at any given moment, walking is not recommended to get to the venue. If you are driving, it is recommended to drop off any passengers at the front door of the aquarium. The best parking garage for the aquarium is Pike Place Market Parking Garage at 1531 Western Ave P, Seattle, WA 98101. https://www.seattleaquarium.org/directions

Question

Is there a changing table in the restrooms?

Answer

There will be changing tables in the restrooms.

Question

Answer

There will be all gender restrooms available near the Windows on Washington Waters tank (the largest tank near the front). These are normally gendered, but we've asked to relabel them for our event so all restrooms are available to everyone.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-Formal (or Cocktail Attire) Semi-formal attire, also commonly referred to as cocktail attire, falls in the middle between casual and formal on the formality scale. For semi-formal weddings, focus on ensembles that are nice and put-together, but avoid going over the top. What is most important to us is that you feel comfortable. The following details are for folks who struggle (like us!) to know "what counts" as semi-formal. Ensemble: Suit (dress shirt, dinner jacket, dress pants) Shoes: Dress shoes Accessories: Tie optional Ensemble: Cocktail dress (typically knee-length), midi dress, dressy jumpsuit Shoes: Heels, kitten heels, dressy flats Accessories: Complimentary jewelry, purse or clutch Young children are exempt from the dress code.

Answer

Question

Are there any additional tidbits that I should know?

Answer

There are a few fun things about our wedding that we would like people to know. Since we are at an aquarium for the wedding, we will have the entire aquarium open to everyone attending the wedding. One of our favorite exhibits in the aquarium is the Underwater Dome exhibit which shows a snapshot of the sea life out in Puget Sound. As part of the wedding, there is a private otter feeding for all of the guests! We also got a secret tip about the northern fur seals. If you wear something light blue or baby blue, the harp seals will come up and talk to you because they think you are there to feed them!
