"A Reflection of Love" is more than a theme for our wedding. It describes our relationship since its inception. Our Love Story all started on Hinge, a dating app. Geneé initiated conversation by complimenting Jerry's shirt on the dating app, and he was intrigued by her, and things were going great until she said, “I don’t date Louisiana guys”! So, as you would guess, Jerry went away (Geneé recalls it as him ghosting her). Jerry kept looking at her profile and later admitted that he couldn't shake how he was drawn to her. He returned shortly to her DM's because of his feelings towards her, but was met with reluctance due to his inconsistency and failure to make good on the promise of a date he made, so Jerry went away again (Geneé recalls it as him ghosting her AGAIN). Finally, Jerry messaged Geneé, and she demanded they either go out that day or he leave her alone (the 2 month long chase was getting OLD). Jerry agreed to the demand and they set a tentative date for that evening! The moment she approached him and smiled, Jerry fell for her. They sat and talked for hours in a very loud and interesting hookah bar. The following morning Jerry texted Geneé in all capital letters, "I WANT TO SEE YOU", and she obliged. They went out for lunch and have been inseparable ever since!
