If you've never had Tex-Mex, this is the place to try it! Kenny's Wood Fired Grill (Addison) – Our favorite restaurant! Perfect for a date night with incredible food, exceptional service, and one of the best martinis around. Haywire – One of our favorite restaurants at Legacy West, serving elevated Texas comfort food in a beautiful setting. Hutchins BBQ – A North Texas staple. Come hungry, and don't skip the famous peach cobbler!
☕ Shop, Stroll & Explore Looking for a relaxing afternoon? These are some of our favorite places to wander. Legacy West – Great shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, and a fun atmosphere. Legacy Hall – A lively food hall with something for everyone, plus drinks and live music. Downtown McKinney – A charming historic square filled with local boutiques, cafés, and small shops. The Star in Frisco – Home of the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters! Explore the shops and restaurants, or check out the Cowboys' practice facility. If you're a football fan, this is definitely worth a visit.
🎃 October Favorites If you're making a weekend out of your trip, October is one of the best times to visit North Texas! The State Fair of Texas – An iconic Texas tradition with Big Tex, live music, football, and every fried food you can imagine. Dallas Arboretum's Pumpkin Village – One of our favorite fall spots and perfect for photos. Dallas Cowboys Football – If there's a home game during your stay, it's a fun way to experience Texas football. Texas Rangers Baseball – If the Rangers are playing postseason baseball while you're here, it's definitely worth checking out!
🍂 Enjoy the Outdoors October is one of the best times of year to be outside in Texas! Arbor Hills Nature Preserve – Beautiful walking trails and scenic overlooks. Klyde Warren Park – Grab a bite from a food truck or relax in the heart of downtown Dallas. White Rock Lake – Perfect for a morning walk, bike ride, or simply enjoying the beautiful fall weather.
🤠 Experience a Little Texas If you're up for a little drive, the Fort Worth Stockyards are well worth the trip! Explore the historic district, catch the famous cattle drive, and maybe even do a little two-stepping with the locals. We hope you have a chance to explore a little while you're here.
