River Road
A beautiful walk along the river, great for riding bikes or looking at eagles. There are river access points available for fishing, swimming, and kayaking, and is centrally located near great restaurants in Callicoon. This is the location of Gene and Claire's first date.
Callicoon Wine Merchant
Our favorite local spot. Chef Robin Mailey does a wonderful job of creating seasonal tapas and small plates. Best way to get sophisticated in downtown Callicoon.
Cochecton Fire Station
A reclaimed fire house, say you're in town for the Stabbert/Burns wedding and owners Zeke and Josiah will take great care of you. This place is fun, with some of the best local drinks. Enjoy indoor or outdoor seating with wonderful wood-fired food.
Seminary Hill Restaurant
This recently built cidery hosts some of the best views in the Catskills. Enjoy a flight of locally grown cider while overlooking the Delaware River, and realize why this town is so special.
Upward Brewing Company
Complete with a hiking trail named yes, Beer Mountain... Upward Brewing Company is one of our local favorites complete with great craft beers.
Cochecton Pump House
With good weather, this place is a must see! Enjoy live music and great food in a very unique outdoor venue!
Callicoon Farmers' Market
Located in the park every Sunday, enjoy everything from fresh flowers to produce. It is great to walk through before or after a nice stroll down River Road.
Narrowsburg
About 20 minutes south of Callicoon on Route 97, you will find the quaint and narrow town of Narrowsburg. Great shopping and dining abound, and Fred knows exactly how deep the narrows are. Check out our local favorites (Narrowsburg Proper, NEST, and Madame Fortuna) for some great vintage finds. The Laundrette had a pair of working Klipshorns but they have since disappeared.
Bethel Woods Center for the Arts
The original site of Woodstock is a must-see for out of town guests. Take a trip through the woods at the "Bindy Bazaar" or go through the Woodstock Museum that will take you back to 1969. Especially great for a rainy day activity.
