The Wedding Website of Kayla Gendreau and Patrick Oliver
If you have any questions that we did not answer below, please feel free to email Kayla (kayla.gendreau@icloud.com) or Patrick (poliver81@icloud.com) with your question(s).
Question

I received the save the date. When can I expect to receive the wedding invitation?

Answer

Be on the look out for your invitation in July!

Question

I received my save the date or invitation, and my spouse and I are invited (or I was invited with a guest). Can I bring my children?

Answer

As much as we would love everyone of all ages to be able to join us on our special day, we feel it is important that all the adults be able to enjoy themselves and have a stress free day/evening! For this reason, only plus one guests that are 13 years of age or older are welcome to attend the ceremony and reception. We hope this advanced notice means that you will still be able to share our big day AND enjoy having a day/evening (or even a whole weekend!) to yourself!

Question

How many nights do I need to book at the Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Ascutney Mountain?

Answer

A minimum of 2 nights. We know this may not be cost effective for some, and others may not be able to commit to a whole weekend away. We totally get it! Please check out the "Lodging" section of our page for some other suggestions for hotel accommodations that are within a 20-30 minute radius of the venue. The foliage at this time of year should be beautiful, and Vermont is a premier location for "leaf peepers" so we suggest booking your room as soon as possible.

Question

Is there a room block for the wedding?

Answer

We have a small number of rooms blocked off over the weekend of the wedding at the venue. The rooms are 1 bedroom units (all rooms have a separate bedroom area and also have a pullout sofa in the living room- this means you can comfortably fit 3-4 adults in each room!). The rooms in the room block will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Please note that there is a two night minimum required for booking (it's the hotel, not us! we promise.). When booking your reservations please use group discount code: GEN

Question

I know there will be cake, but what about alcohol?

Answer

There will be a limited amount of UFO White and Stella Artois, as well as a red wine sangria, available during the reception, compliments of the bride's parents. A complimentary champagne toast will also be provided during the reception. Don't drink? Don't worry- we will have a nonalcoholic option available for the toast as well! A cash bar will be available throughout the cocktail hour and the reception for both alcoholic (beer, wine, liquor) and nonalcoholic beverages.

Question

What are the rooms like at the Holiday Inn at Ascutney Mountain?

Answer

All of the rooms are "villa" style meaning that they have a separate bedroom area(s), living room with fire place, bathroom, and a pullout sofa and a full kitchen. There are one, two, and three bedroom units available at the resort. Please be sure to check out the website for more information about room and resort amenities!

Question

My invited spouse/partner is not able to join. Can I invite someone else in their place?

Answer

We're bummed that they can't make it, but you are more than welcome to invite someone else in their place! Please make a note of this on your RSVP, and PLEASE remember that all guests attending must be 13 years of age or older.

Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

Please help us to plan accordingly by responding to the invitations by September 5th.

For all the days along the way
