Cheyenne and Andrew might have cross paths before, however, the day they both acknowledged each other was at Skate night at St. Pius X in spring of 2009. Cheyenne was really into taking pictures with her digital camera and brought it along with her. She saw Andrew on the stairs taking a break from skating and noticed how cute he was. Cheyenne had one of her friends take a picture of Andrew because she was too embarrassed to do it herself. When Cheyenne uploaded the picture to Facebook, she learned Andrew was one of her friend’s cousins! Cheyenne sent Andrew a friend request, which he declined due to thinking it was a fake name (Cheyenne Danielle O'Connor-Montano is way too long to be real….) He immediately realized who it was and sent a friend request back and Cheyenne Accepted.
While neither can truly remember the first 'official' date, Cheyenne and Andrew, both believe it to be La Fuentes. They sat next to the infamous butt on the wall, laughed, had delicious food, and a great time with each other.
Constantly talking with each other for over 3 years, Andrew realized he has always been in love with Cheyenne and wanted to make it official. On September 24th, 2013, Andrew took Cheyenne’s phone and typed a simple message to her: “Do you want to be my girlfriend?” After saying yes, Cheyenne immediately updated her Facebook status before Andrew had to chance to ask her in a more romantic way.
6 busy years later, Andrew and Cheyenne decided to look at rings together so Cheyenne could get exactly the style she wanted as well as make sure it fit her size 4.25 finger! It took four months for the custom ring to be complete, just in time for Christmas. Andrew was too excited to wait and had to propose to Cheyenne as soon as possible. Following in the Mexican food theme from their first date, Andrew and Cheyenne went to dinner at Belair Cantina in Wauwatosa. With ring in his pocket, Andrew asked Cheyenne if she thought that the lighting in here would be great for her crystals, to which Cheyenne responded with a firm NO because of all the shadows of the spotlights. The ring stayed in his pocket. After dinner, we walked outside near the patio of the restaurant. Cheyenne tells Andrew this would be a great proposal spot because of the Christmas Lights on the patio, the Fall Out Boy song playing (her favorite band since forever), and it was a beautiful December night. As Cheyenne started walking away, Andrew stopped, took the ring out of his pocket, and got down on one knee. Cheyenne turned around and laugh. Andrew asks her to marry him and she says… Yes.
