Long Beach Island & Brigantine Beach
While our first choice would be to visit Manasquan (where we first met), both LBI and Brigantine are great nearby beaches to spend the day with family and/or friends!
Smithville
About 5-10 minutes down the road from the hotels, Smithville has cute little shops, restaurants, and even a small lake with paddle boats. You’ll spend the whole time you're there wondering if you're actually in NJ.
Twisted Dune Golf Club
Grab a couple of transfusions and hit the links at one of Kristian's favorite NJ golf courses -- if you finish in double digits you will most likely have beaten his lowest score at the course! Other beautiful nearby courses: Seaview Golf Club (where our room block is located) Ballamor Golf Club Blue Heron Pines Golf Club
Atlantic City
Try your luck in beating the house at one of nearby Atlantic City's finest casinos. There is often great live music at some of the resorts as well! Some options include: Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa Ocean Casino Resort Hard Rock Hotel & Casino *They say there are two types of people - those who love Vegas & those who hate it (and apparently they marry each other). Replace Vegas with AC and the same rules apply. Figure out if you're a Krigi or a Gena in this situation and then plan your weekend accordingly :)
Rook Coffee
For those driving from NY/NJ - this is the coffee that made Gena abandon her caffeine-free lifestyle of 26 years - get it on your way down and/or your way home! It's worth the slight detour (Multiple locations)
