Bride & Groom
Father and Mother of the Bride
To my parents: You took a chance about 27 years ago, to fly halfway around the world for me, not knowing what was to come. I’m so lucky you did, and I’m proud to call you my parents! Thank you for everything you have done for me over these years. I wouldn’t be who (or where) I am today without all the opportunities you gave me, your guidance, your love and support, allowing me to navigate life (even if we disagreed), and always being there for me when I needed it. Even though I’m starting this new chapter and continuing to grow, I will always be your little girl! I love you to the moon and back 🌙♥️
Father and Mother of the Groom
{Max will also Jay Cee's Best Man} To my parents: Your 36 years of love has shown me what a true mother and father sacrifice for their kid(s). I’m thankful for everything you taught me and how it has shaped me into the man I have become. It has brought me to a point in my life to meet an amazing woman to become part of our family. I wanna thank you for being there for me in this moment to come, and for everything you have done for me growing up!
Groomsman
Andrew is the first friend Jay Cee met when he moved to Charlotte a couple years ago. Andrew was a great mentor and friend, in and out of work. They used to explore uptown and Andrew introduced Jay Cee to all the good places to eat too (which is very important if you know Jay Cee). We’re excited to have him be part of our big day since he’s been a big part of Jay Cee’s!
Bridesmaid
The longest friendship the bride has! These girls have been friends since {at least} 1999!! They met in Pre-K, at Hickory Grove Baptist and from there, it’s history. Growing up there were lots of play dates, exploring the woods behind Mariah’s house, beach vacations with family, playing in Upward Basketball (except that one year Mariah decided to do Cheerleading), and making Chick-Fil-A their forever meet up spot! Fast forward to the more “grown up” days of finally graduating from high school, going off to college, then finishing college at the same time, to now both of us getting engaged and married. Whew, what a ride it’s been! I can’t wait for all the adventures, learning, love, happiness, and growth we have to come in our new chapters! The day wouldn't be complete without my life long best friend by my side <3
Bridesmaid
A friendship neither were expecting to take off as it did! These two met in college at East Carolina University. They became much closer when they lived together during Gena’s last semester of college through their love of nails, Hallmark movies, dinners, and everything in between! Life without each other’s friendship, daily texts/snaps, weekend visits throughout the year, intermittent work outs over FaceTime, and sending each other reels 24/7 would be unfathomable! Thankful to have you by my side!
Honorary Bridesmaid
These two also met at East Carolina University their freshman year. They’ve shared countless memories through late-nights in the Jarvis (dorm) lobby, photoshoots, road trips, food trips, study time, and everything in between! Their friendship has grown from those fun adventures/outings in college to the more responsible adulting days learning to balance life. Thankful to be going through all the milestones of life together! Sugar Glider and Koala Bear forever <3 Thankful to have you apart of the big day!
Honorary Bridesmaid
This was one of the first friendships Gena ever made in college her freshman year! They’ve been through so much together with all the ups and downs in life, but wouldn’t trade it for a thing. Over the years, they've had so many wonderful memories together: lake trips, concerts, West End dinner room trips, birthday parties, hang outs, dinners, vacations out of country, football games, State Fairs, Friendsgivings. Every moment has brought them closer, and even the honor of getting to stand by each other for both of their BIG DAYs. Crazy how time has flown! Thankful to have you apart of the big day!
Honorary Bridesmaid
This friendship also began in college during their Freshman year. It was so great, they ended up rooming together the next year! Definitely the best decision they made. They became close friends and went on a lot of Starbucks/library dates, had game nights with friends, and have enjoyed watching each other achieve so much. College wouldn’t have been the same without this girl! Thankful to have you apart of the big day!
Honorary Bridesmaid
This friendship was thanks to a mutual friend, and thank goodness for that! Who would have thought that a random invite to Olive Garden, one boring college night, would be the jumpstart to their friendship? Throughout college, you’d rarely see them apart: West End dinning room trips, library dates, Starbucks dates, late night classes, Gena dragging her to places when bored, road trips, and so much more. Couldn't have gotten through college without this girl! Thankful to have you apart of the big day!
