For those who prefer a more private rental over a hotel, these are the areas we highly recommend if you are looking to book an AirBNB: 1. Cannonborough-Elliotborough Trendy and local-feeling, as well as walkable to coffee shops, restaurants, and King Street. 2. French Quarter The most historic part of Charleston displaying cobblestone streets and beautiful architecture. Walkable to Waterfront Park, Rainbow Row, and the Market. 3. South of Broad Charleston’s most iconic and picturesque neighborhood of stunning historic homes and oak-lined streets. South of broad is quiet, located near The Battery and White Point Garden. 4. Harleston Village Beautiful residential area near Colonial Lake and King Street. Great mix of charm and convenience. 5. Old Village Across the harbor from the Venue and Downtown. Historic homes, waterfront views, and Southern charm. About 10–15 minutes to the venue. 6. Shem Creek Waterfront restaurants and bars, a boardwalk with marsh views. Also across the harbour from the venue. 7. Isle of Palms For those looking to turn the weekend into a coastal vacation. About 25–30 minutes to the Admiral’s House. 8. Sullivan’s Island Charming beach town feel, excellent restaurants, less crowded than Isle of Palms. About 20–25 minutes to the venue. A favorite among Charleston locals
