We met the good old-fashioned way on Bumble while Andy was in Boston working on the Wahlburgers TV series. After a few messages, we met for our first date at Franklin Cafe in the southend of Boston. It didn't take long to realize this was something special. Our first date very quickly turned into a long-distance relationship, and we enjoyed a lot of trips together. Our family and friends could tell almost immediately how well suited we were -- and our dog, Beau, agreed as well! A year and a half later, Gemma moved to L.A. to be with Andy. They went from long distance to no distance to being quarantined together; the ultimate relationship test. As you all know it brought them even closer together. And the best is yet to come!
A romantic through and through, Andy planned the most thoughtful proposal Gemma could have ever imagined. The weekend after their two-year anniversary, Andy planned a getaway at the Hotel Del Coronado, where his family went a few times on vacation. The weekend was a total surprise and started off with an incredible dinner Friday night at Top of the Market. The next morning after a walk with their dog, Beau, and brunch at the hotel they returned to their hotel room, with a cabana and terrace right on the beach. Andy invited Gemma out to the terrace and surprised her with a video, which contained pictures and videos of her, that he had compiled over their entire relationship. The final video... a ring box. And as Andy dropped to his knee, Gemma started to cry with excitement and happiness. The rest of the weekend they celebrated by sharing the exciting news with family and close friends.
