Meet us in New Orleans

Steve and Gemma met during trivia night at Bear’s, a local dive bar. Steve, in town on contract with the Shreveport Opera, turned around when he heard the loud cheers from Gemma’s team. The two locked eyes and knew they had to talk to one another. With a little nudge from a friend, Gemma walked up to Steve, and they hit it off right away. They spent as much time together as possible before Steve had to leave Shreveport and return home to Connecticut. Even though they lived so far apart, they both knew they had found something special, and they began dating long distance. In September 2022, Steve visited Gemma in Shreveport, and after a few weeks, she asked him to stay and move in. The following year, they got engaged in Venice, Italy, on their first day of a trip through the country.
