Jason's brother and oldest friend. They met 38 years ago when Jason's parents brought Alex home with them from the hospital to meet his skeptical 3-year-old big brother. Ever since then, Jason has been forever grateful to have such an amazing brother, something that he has only sometimes done an adequate job of expressing.

Keren Holt

Keren and Gemma have been friends since Gemma was 9 months old, which is when Keren was born. They were inseparable as kids, bopped around Italy as 20-somethings, and now bop around Seattle (sometimes with Keren's two awesome kids, Willa and Luna) while Gemma gets fantastic advice because Keren is a fantastic therapist.

Jason's friend since their first day of college, when they met at Vassar's unbirthday party-themed orientation, who, in addition to being a wonderful friend, is the person responsible for introducing Jason to the paradise that is the Minnesota State Fair, which is a debt he can never fully repay.

Ryan Purcell

Gemma and Ryan met at Franklin High School where they did such cool activities as drama, Mock Trial and TheatreSports. They were roommates in New York, they've seen roughly 1000 plays together, and in 2019 they walked the Camino de Santiago through Portugal and Spain and were still friends at the end.

Paul Salama

Jason's oldest friend (non brother division), as they met way back in Kay Kobbe's second grade class and were immediately inseparable. Their friendship has remained strong through countless changes over the past 33 years, not to mention the long period where Jason insisted on referring to Paul as "Momma," which Paul has generously forgiven him for.

Sascha Sprinkle

Gemma was late starting the first grade because her family had spent the previous year living in Malaysia. Luckily, Sascha was there to welcome her into Mrs. Mintz’s class, and they were basically joined at the hip for the next 12 school years. Sascha is a recovering JD, she gives the very best music recommendations and in 2023 she finally forgave Gemma for making her watch 'Scream' in 1996.
