We’re getting married!

“A Moment at Moments” (Answered Prayers)! Ten years ago, Kelvin and Gemelee had a moment at Moments Cafe! It was one of Gemelee’s regular trips to New York, and every time she visited, she and her friend Georgia would go to Moments Café. On this particular night, Gemelee wanted to go somewhere else, but Georgia insisted they go to Moments. It was this magical night that Gemelee walked inside the café, and Kelvin thought to himself, “Wow, she looks like a supermodel.” Thank goodness Georgia suggested Moments that night. Gemelee found it odd that after going to Moments for so many years, she had never seen Kelvin, even though he told her he was a regular at the café. Perhaps this magical night was meant to connect two souls longing for each other… Kelvin and Gemelee fell in love the very first night they met. After leaving Moments, Kelvin drove behind Gemelee and Georgia to ensure they made it home safe. Gemelee and Kelvin sat on Georgia’s doorstep and talked until the sun peeked its beautiful rays out at 6 am…Kelvin gave Gemelee a peck on her cheek and went on his way. However, as soon as he got home, he called her, and they spoke for hours. Communication is the foundation of their relationship; to this day, they talk on the phone every single day, multiple times a day, until they both fall asleep at night. This constant communication created an unmatched and unbreakable bond and friendship They became best friends! The day after they met, Kelvin said to Gemelee, “I don’t understand this feeling, I feel like I love you even though I just met you.” Unbeknownst to Kelvin, Gemelee felt exactly the same way; however, she kept it to herself (girl code, lol!). After two weeks of dating, Kelvin told Gemelee that the night he met her, his mother, Patricia, had just completed a three-day fasting asking God for her son to find a wife and kids. It’s a running joke between Gemelee and Patricia that God truly gives us what we pray for since Gemelee came with the kids. Gemelee also confessed to Kelvin that on the day they met, earlier that day while she was in Manhattan, she whispered a prayer to God, asking him to send her a handsome, strong black man who is 35 years old and of Jamaican roots, with an American accent. Gemelee thought to herself, “I want him to be of Jamaican roots so he can enjoy my oxtails and rice and peas.” The night Kelvin introduced himself to Gemelee, to her surprise, he checked off all the boxes…”Hi, my name is Kelvin, and I’m 35 years old. My mom is Jamaican, and my father is from South Carolina; I was born in New York. Imagine that!? In the beginning stage of their relationship, Kelvin was so smitten that he couldn’t eat for weeks after meeting Gemelee. Gemelee was so smitten that she couldn’t fall asleep at night unless she spoke with Kelvin. It was magical!!! We are honored to have our closest friends and family join us on our special day. By the time you attend the wedding of Kelvin and Gemelee, they would have been together for 10 wonderful years. Their bond is solid and strong, and they believe that what God has joined together, no earthly being can put asunder. Gemelee has two children, Jeneya and JT, and a puppy name London…all of whom Kelvin loves very much. Kelvin has the demeanor of a “prince of peace” and is equally loved by Jeneya, JT, and London. After 10 magical years of bliss, Gemelee and Kelvin remains madly in love with each other, and it is now time to join together as one in the sight of God and Man — Ephesians 5:31 Welcome to Our Story!!!
