We grew up only 7 minutes apart in Hamden and Bethany, We never crossed paths until one fateful Friday in Dec. 2015. P- “I was out with my co-worker Justin, who is Kristy’s brother Matt’s friend. We decided to visit Lindsay an old co-worker of ours at Eli’s where both her and Kristy worked. Lindsay also happens to be Kristy’s bestfriend.” Our lives were already intertwined without us even knowing. K- “Pete was a responsible DD and asked me for a water at the bar. I forgot it for 20 mins.(whoops!) That night we both checked our dating app Happn and matched with eachother. Pete said ‘Hey!’” After a month of texting, we decided to go on our first date Saturday Jan. 9th. P- “We had dinner and drinks in New Haven, and then met up with Matt and his friends to celebrate his birthday. I was nervous but I already knew I liked her alot. Kristy was worried that it was overwhelming for a first date, but I had fun! Somehow we ended up at kareoke heroes and stayed out until 3am!” K- “Since the first date we were inseperable. I pretty much moved right into Pete’s house, and I commandeered my own part of his closet. 😆” Early on we both knew...this is my person. November of 2018 we moved into our own place. We LOVE it. Living together was a smooth and super fun transition and only confirmed that we were meant for eachother. P- “The holidays went by, my family and Kristy’s family were crossing their fingers hoping for me to pop the question already, but I had a plan.” K - “FINALLY, June 23, 2019 it happened. I thought we were celebrating my 33rd birthday at a vineyard with our friends and family. Pete got down on one knee, I cried hysterically. My mom screamed ‘YES SHE WILL MARRY YOU’ and here we are!” **Edit** Well.. Covid happened, postponement happened, a 1st wedding happened and now finally... We can’t wait to share our BIG special day with you all, and most of all we can’t wait to spend our forever together. - Lots of love - Kristy and Pete
