We met in our first year at Western Oregon University, quickly becoming friends based on our shared interests in reading, music, and nature. Our relationship began the following summer. Summers were rich in adventures along the coast and visiting each other's hometowns. During the school year, we had most of our honors classes together, studied in various locations, and took relaxing night walks around campus. After graduating in 2021, we moved to Beaverton. A day in the life for us may consist of watching movies, spending time with friends and family, or attending concerts. When summer comes around, we love exploring around our favorite places in Oregon—like Crater Lake, Willamette Forest, and Mount Hood—and camping at National Parks—such as Yellowstone and the Redwoods. We are both looking forward to expanding our travels internationally with our honeymoon, where we plan on visiting Australia and New Zealand.
The place where Sean proposed was one of great significance: Silver Falls State Park. It was our first hangout on October 28, 2017, and on every October 28th during our time in college, we made it out to the falls—in sunshine or pouring rain—to see the autumn colors. This past year, we hiked through the Southern Falls Trail (the same path we took in 2017); we rested by the riverbank, and Sean proposed! Though Sean knew Liv wouldn't say no, he was still very nervous!
