Jacob and my story begins as most modern romances of our time start...online. He was a boy from the more rural east side while I was a girl living in the suburbs of the west side of Cincinnati. By all account our paths would have never crossed until someone swiped right. I vividly remember the first question he asked me popping up on my phone. "What's your favorite alcohol?". I quickly educated him on my love of margaritas and a first date was set at a Mexican restaurant. Awkwardly, Jacob forgot his wallet in his car and as he left to retrieve it I thought, " Welp, I've been stood up." To my surprise he returned and we talked until they kicked us out. Our relationship progressed stretching between Cincinnati and Dayton. The pandemic hit and as the world turned upside down we decided to take a step and become quarantine buddies. We learned to live together and find love in the tiniest of places. Hiking became one of our favorite hobbies to do together. After a long hike Jacob convince me to climb a tower overlooking the woods. Up in that tower looking out at the trees Jacob asked me to be his wife. It was the easiest question I have ever answered.
