Jake and I planned a trip to Boston to celebrate our second anniversary, mainly with the goal of seeing the fall leaves (and me getting my fill of lobster). On our first morning, we grabbed coffee in Back Bay and went for a walk through a park in Fenway. We came across a fenced in garden and Jake suggested we check it out. It was a rose garden and somehow, we ended up with the entire place to ourselves. It was quiet, beautiful, and perfect… and then at only 9:30 in the morning, Jake got down on one knee and proposed. The rest of the day felt like a blur in the best way. We spent it walking around the city, celebrating, and just soaking it all in—ending the night with an amazing dinner and probably still in a bit of shock that we were actually engaged.
