We both attended Eastern Kentucky University, where Christian was already three years into the ROTC program and Samantha had just joined. She was technically a freshman, while he was a junior. Samantha didn’t know anyone at first, but Christian’s large friend group welcomed her with open arms after she sang “Party in the USA” during a PT test. Little did she know, that moment would lead to her catching feelings — and eventually finding the one. By November, the two were inseparable, and they officially started dating on November 16, 2023. As the spring semester approached, Samantha became a sophomore and switched into the MS2 ROTC class, quickly catching up alongside Christian. That summer, Christian prepared for CST and CTLT, meaning the couple would spend eight weeks apart. However, with Samantha’s own military obligations, including AT and a trip to Europe, their separation stretched into ten weeks. Even through the distance, they pushed through together. Soon it was time for Christian’s senior year and Samantha’s junior year. During that year, they took their first trip together to Pennsylvania to visit Christian’s family, followed by another trip to California to see the other side of his family. They made unforgettable memories and enjoyed every moment together. Before long, Christian was preparing to commission, while Samantha was getting ready to attend CST herself. Once Christian commissioned, they knew they were stepping into an even longer season of distance that would last over a year. On May 28, 2025, they got married at the J-town Courthouse so they could both eventually be stationed together at Fort Stewart. Despite the challenges, they continued supporting each other every step of the way. Christian was able to attend Samantha’s CST graduation, and Samantha traveled whenever she could to visit him while he was away. The distance was never easy, but they never stopped choosing each other. Finally, in February 2026, Christian moved into their home, marking the beginning of a new chapter together after years of love, sacrifice, and perseverance. May 2026 Christian had to jump through hoops to come home for Samanthas Commissioning but he made it there for it and officially pinned her as a 2LT Then, in June 2026, their little family grew even more when they adopted Opal Mae Geer — their sweet baby angel, who quickly became the center of their world.
