We had both given up on dating life, Jenn was looking for coffee and dinner dates and Kyle had utterly forgotten he had an account. Jenn sent a message just saying hi and that is when the conversations began for a few months until the fateful day of June 14th, 2019. A mutual friend of ours Jenn Little ( I didn't know this at the time) invited me out and we ended our night at Grumpy's Bar in Superior, where Kyle was bartending and we had finally agreed to meet. After a few drinks and in need of a sober ride home, Mr. Geegan came to my rescue and "took a drunk girl home". The next morning Kyle stopped over to pick me up and collect my car. After some further investigating and realizing how many friends we had in common, the many shared interests we have, as well as the approval of many of our dear friends and family we made the dating journey official. The best decision of both our lives!!!!
In December 2020 Kyle sends me a text informing me he did a thing (Nummi Jewelers) looking at something *wink, wink*. Kyle and I started looking at rings and asking the children what they thought he should choose as well as asking our parents their thoughts on us taking the next step, and they all agreed. In mid-January, I knew that a deposit had been put down but little did I know that he had paid for and picked up the ring only a few days later, bringing us to the big day. January 24th was just another fun-filled winter day in our house, the middle of the spring semester of my Accounting AAS, baking cookies and chilling with the family. There was an unusual push for me to study from everyone in the house (they were all in on it). Kyle had placed the ring in between the pages of my homework so that when I would turn the next page it would be there. My squirrel brain was multitasking as usual and as they all kept telling me to go do homework, I knew something was up! Natalie comes up to me as I am getting ready to take out the last batch of cookies with something behind her back and says "Grandma do you want to be married" as she hands me a box. Completely in 4-year-old fashion notices the cookies as she has completed her mission and asks for a cookie. Of Course, we all know what my answer was. YES!!!!
