The attire for our wedding will be formal, in a warm, neutral color scheme. We kindly ask that our guests chose colors within a neutral, earthy palette such as champagne, olive and mocha, in keeping with our romantic and optimally aesthetic, southern vibe. We invite the men to wear tuxedos or formal suits, and the women to wear floor length gowns. Please visit this site for examples of recommended attire: https://smithweddingattire.my.canva.site/
Kindly inform us of your acceptance or regrets by September 1st, 2024. You can RSVP right on this website!
Bluffton is a small, dry town. There are minimal to no ubers in the area. We want our favorite people to have much fun as possible, but we ask that you drink responsibly and plan to either have a designated driver in your group, or reach out to a local limousine company to book a car for transportation ahead of time. There are many shuttle and taxi services available, and we recommend booking ahead of time to prevent extended wait times.
The ceremony will start at promptly at 4:15 pm. Please arrive 15-30 minutes early to enjoy a welcome drink and find your seat. If you are late, you will need to wear an "I was late" sash for the rest of the evening.
Yes! One of our favorite parts of Hewitt Oaks is the open concept so that our guests may flow seamlessly from the ceremony to cocktail hour, then to the reception and afterparty.
There is lots of space for parking on-site. Staff will be present to direct traffic to appropriate locations at the venue.
We invite our guests to join in on the color scheme of our wedding. Please refrain from wearing white, or any bright colors.
We love you, and by proxy, anyone you love too. Our venue can only accommodate a set number of guests, though. Invited guests will all be listed on your formal invitation. If a person is not listed on the formal invitation, unfortunately we will not be able to accommodate.
We have a wonderful photographer who could not be more excited to capture every detail of our day. However, we would love to see memories that our guests capture too! There will be a QR code at the wedding that will direct you to a photo taking and sharing (with bride and groom) site. Our ceremony will be unplugged, but you are welcome to take photos afterward as long as you don't use flash. We will strictly enforce a no flash photography rule, at any point in the day, so please keep this in mind!
