We realize the majority of you will be traveling from out of town, and wanted to make sure we get enough quality time with everyone who chooses to take part in our celebration. Think of a "Welcome Gathering" like a rehearsal dinner without the rehearsal part (unless you are a part of the wedding party, in which case a short rehearsal will take place before the event). For the Welcome Gathering, we ask that you abide by a garden party dress code, which is semi-formal, but allows you to experiment with color, patterns, frills, etc. Please keep in mind this event will have outdoor elements, so opt for something comfortable and practical while keeping it classy.
The ceremony will be held outside in East Village at 4:30 pm. Please arrive with enough time to be seated at this time.
Copper Mountain offers a complimentary shuttle to the East Village from other resort areas. Please research ahead of time to ensure on-time arrival day of.
Weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outside, while the reception and after party will take place inside
Chief Meteorologist Google has the weather ranging from 72 - 65 degrees during the day, and 32 - 38 degrees at night. However, last year it did get up to around 80 degrees during the day, and though this might not seem hot to those of us living in a warmer climate, due to the ~10k feet of elevation you gain the sun is strong and it does feel quite warm. Please also keep the elevation in mind when deciding whether or not to apply sunscreen. If it's You vs. The Sun, I promise the sun will win every time (Ryan Carlino.. I'm looking at you bud).
We invite you to dress to the nines and don black tie attire for our wedding celebration. However, while a tux is preferred, men may wear dark suits (think: your very best suit, preferably black and custom-tailored) instead. Women who decide against wearing a floor-length gown may wear "midi" dresses, but please avoid cocktail attire / dresses above or slightly below the knee.
Due to space constraints, please only bring the guest number allotted on your RSVP card
duh
Yes, actually, thanks for asking. Please remember that traveling to Copper involves a gain of ~10k feet in altitude which means a decrease in oxygen levels. This being said, please be mindful of the amount of water you drink and take precautions beforehand should you suffer from any chronic lung or heart conditions. Additionally, a decrease in oxygen means your body will absorb alcohol faster, so indulge responsibly and to be safe stick by the rule of one drink = two.
