It all began with a text message. Kristina had an upcoming formal for Alpha Phi and needed a date. She knew about Adam and he knew about her as they had seen each other through mutual friends and parties at the University of Northern Colorado but hadn't had the chance to get to know one another yet. Adam received the text message while hanging out with his friends and was taken back that she even knew who he was and wanted to ask him to go. He of course said yes! After a few nights of talking back and forth, Adam and Kristina decided to go on a date to get to know one another better. In what ended up being the first of many shared interests they'd come to have, they went out to eat together at Café Mexicali in Greeley where they instantly bonded over their love of Mexican food. The rest is history! Adam and Kristina dated the rest of college where they shared the same major and had the majority of their classes together. Even though Adam had to carry Kristina through a few group projects, (Kristina remembers this very differently) their relationship never wavered. After graduation they both moved to Denver where Adam ultimately proposed after six years of dating.
