We’re getting married!

We found a spark in a little college dive bar called "Tin Roof"... the original, before "Tin Roof" was TIN ROOF. While Ashley was out late for a girlfriends birthday, Marcus was visiting Nashville for a friend's bachelor party rooting on UK Basketball. In typical Marcus and Ashley fashion, they could not help connecting the two groups of friends over drinks, jokes and laughs in the small bar. Their fate was sealed when Marcus and the guys invited Ashley and her friend to continue the night onto Broadway at a popular honky tonk. 21 year old Ashley politely declined. As Marcus and his boys got into a yellow taxi mini-van, he yelled out to Ashley and her friend, "are you sure y'all don't want to come?!"... at that moment Ashley and Maymay ran into the van and jumped in before the door slid shut... the rest is history.

During a special family day at Springfield Country Club, Marcus completely surprised Ashley by getting down on one knee after a morning round of golf with her family. In the same hometown gathering spot David Gearing cherished and proposed to Allison 35+ years ago.

Can't wait to host the people we love most... in the city where we fell in love, and have started our lives together.
