Lexi and Becca have been best friends since the eighth grade. The two of them always find a way to turn the most mundane activity, into a wild story. These two best friends have traveled and attracted friends everywhere they have been. (There are photos to prove it...) They have shared snorkeling, swimming with sharks, multiple concerts, many dances, and their love of dogs. Lexi affectionately describes them as "the same person but two different fonts." When Becca thinks back to all 16 years of friendship, these moments stand out the most: Lexi standing up for Becca on many occasions, Lexi's sweet sixteen birthday party, ATVing through the beaches of Punta Cana, taking more shots than one person should in Costa Rica, Lexi making sure Becca is at the very front of a Pauly D concert, partying at Saco, and the countless times they have bent over laughing at the other person. Becca didn't take long to decide on a Maid of Honor because she knew that her friendship with Lexi was unmatched. The two have many more adventures ahead of them, and Becca is so thankful to have her be her number one since day one.

Dave’s little brother. Only 3 years apart, these two grew up sharing everything. From 24 hour Guitar Hero marathons; to backyard trampoline wrestling tournaments; to going on “expeditions” exploring the abandoned train tracks behind their childhood home; to drumming in the duos band in middle school; to late night rants; to traveling brazil together to see family; they’ve seen each other grieve heartbreaks; when Dave misses home, Dunny gets the call first. Dave would do anything for him. This wedding would be incomplete without his presence as the best man.

When Becca arrived at her college orientation, she never expected to find one of her favorite people on this planet: Josh. Josh and Becca became best friends within a week of being around each other. Everyone around campus found it odd when one of them were out without the other. They moved on to become college roommates, and the rest is history. When Becca reflects on their ten years of friendship, these memories come to mind: building the worst gingerbread houses on campus, playing the campus wide "Assassin" game, Josh being there during heartbreak, many parties, a huge snow ball fight with their freshman year friends, and countless laughs. Becca and Josh have a unique understanding of each other, and never have a dull moment together. When Becca was deciding who to have by her side, Josh was quick to come to mind.
Gurudeep Machupalli

Dave met Gurudeep while in North Carolina for a 6 month training program, Leap. Leap fostered many lifelong friends of which Guru was the first. After a few weeks living in North Carolina, and feeling isolated, living away from home for the first time, Dave called Becca one night and mentioned that he made his first new friend. The rest is history. Sharing a love of adventure, traveling, and good times, but now living far apart; the two regularly reconvene all over the country with their fellow “leaps” for ski trips, hiking trips, mad lad behavior & good drink. Dubbed the “Karma Lord”, Guru is the guy that does no wrong by no one. The best kind of friend to have, Guru has offered his couch to Dave during times of need, and paid for celebratory steaks during times of celebration. I’ll wager that anyone of us would say the same of him.
Kayla Albert

David was the one to introduce Becca and Kayla. He didn't realize at the time that when he introduced them, the two would become friends very quickly. Kayla and Becca bond over their love of travel, adventure, dogs, food, and beaches. These two have taken many trips together, from Bash Bish Falls, and Acadia National Park, to San Francisco and Yosemite, to Quebec, to Kayla coming out to Utah to see Becca and David. When Becca thinks back to her favorite moments with Kayla, she thinks of seeing strippers in Quebec, their wine tour in California, Rory's first swim in Kayla's pool, the sunflower festival, a cake decorating class, painting their pets, and parties in Kayla's yard. Kayla and Becca have their monthly "staff meetings" where they chat on the phone for an hour (or more) each month, and never leave out any life details. Becca is excited because Kayla has now moved to Utah and these two now have so many adventures ahead of them. David and Becca both love Kayla, and it is only right that she is up there with them on the biggest day of their lives.
Adam Torres

Adam, a fellow leap, would go on to move to Colorado around the same time that Dave & Becca made their way out to Utah, which was shortly before Covid hit. Stuck out west & with neither able to go home due to the covid restrictions of the time, Adam invited Dave to spend the holidays skiing the mountains of Colorado. Realizing they shared a lot of Latino life experiences, and were in very similar situations as eastern transplants out west; the two became close confidants, regularly catching up and helping each other navigate difficult life situations. Being from Miami, Adam hates cold & dry climates, and has since put down the snowboard. Yet, he still comes out to the snow covered peaks of Vermont & desert Utah to “see the boys”. That eagerness & loyalty is what Adam’s all about.
Audrey Marshall
Bridesmaid
Audrey was the first person in Utah that made Utah feel like home to Becca. They bond over their love of travel and their passion for teaching. Becca was drawn to her ginormous heart and sense of humor. They should never sit next to each other during a meeting or serious moment because once one of them starts laughing, you can guarantee the other one will be cracking up. When Becca thinks back to her favorite moments with Audrey, she thinks about the time they were lost for multiple hours in a hotel in Nashville, hot tubing in Park City, countless vent sessions about their students, Las Vegas shenanigans, training for their first 5k together, and Audrey going wedding dress shopping with Becca. Becca had wanted someone from Utah to stand by her side on this special day, and Audrey was the first person to come to mind. Although Becca has known Audrey the shortest amount of time, she is confident that Audrey and Becca will be friends for the rest of their lives.
Chhay Chhoeu

A core part of the Leap boys, Chhay has been there for all of the gang's debauchery. From golf karting around Bald head island, NC; to standing shoulder to shoulder not even a few feet away from a standoff between Riot Police & Catalonian liberationists shouting “LIBERDAD PRESOS POLITICOS” during the 2019 Barcelona secession riots; to taking turns standing out on the sunroof of a rental car in Miami to yell in support of the 2021 Cuban protests; to skiing across the vistas of Mt. Rainier & peer pressuring Guru into moving to Washington; to whipping a Tesla around the 1000ft drop cliffside corners of California’s Highway 1 in search of Big Sur (scared the crap out of Dave); to huffing on cheap gas station oxygen tanks to cure altitude sickness atop Breckenridge, CO. Chhay’s always there with a mischievous smile, but most importantly a reliable hand. He can be trusted not to flip the ATV’s, he can be trusted to keep secrets. He has plenty of stories he can tell, and plenty that he can’t. Don’t ask
Serena Sousa

Serena and Becca met in anatomy class in high school and became friends very quickly. The pair bonded over loving a good laugh and chicken fingers. Becca was immediately drawn to how caring Serena is, and how good of a listener she is. When Becca thinks back to her favorite moments with Serena, she thinks back to the two working together at an accounting firm and joking/slacking off the entire time, going to prom together, multiple Fourth of Julys together, many a lunch breaks, beach days, and being terrible at ice skating together. Becca and David picked up Serena's dog Mochi in Nebraska and drove him home for her. Serena is the first person Becca goes to whenever she wants to share some gossip, or something funny she found online. Serena's friendship is very rare and special to Becca and she is so glad to have her their on her wedding day.
Connor Summers

Dave met Connor in university as a part of the UML adventure club, on a hike in the white mountains. Bonding over shared interests in music, movies, and MMA. Connor suggested Dave come out to a rock climbing trip at Crow Hill in Leominster, MA. Dave was reluctant but came out anyway. Little did he know that he had made not just a badass lifelong climbing partner, but a trusted lifelong friend. The two have since rock climbed and hiked all over the country, often with the adventure trio’s third, bridesmaid Kayla. In fact, you can thank these two for Dave & Becca deciding to move out west. On the trio’s trip to Zion National Park, it was atop the treacherously rewarding Angels Landing hike that Dave first made the decision to move out west. During this moment, Dave uttered “this is it. This is the most amazing thing I’ll ever see.” To which Connor swiftly responded “Cmon bud. We’re gonna see so much more”. That moment encapsulates Connor’s infectious ambition that the duo forge their bond over.
Rory DaCosta
Best Pup
Rory is Becca and David's beloved dog. Becca and David adopted Rory within their first month of living in Utah. They have shared many adventures with Rory, all across the US (12 states to be exact). The couple couldn't imagine their wedding day without their third family member.
