We Eloped!

Although we’ve only been together for 3 years, technically we have known each other since grammar school. We both attended Old Mill Elementary School in Sea Girt New Jersey for 1st through 5th grade: the only difference being that Gayle was two grades ahead of Sean (scandalous!). We used to spend the occasional summer night playing manhunt at the Miller’s- who’s house was directly across the street from Gayle’s grandparents Jane and Mike Bufo’s house. Connor Miller and Sean played together when their moms would work out at the gym. Soon, all the parents would come together while us kids played in the neighborhood. It was a glorious childhood full of fond memories. Like all children, we grew up! Gayle moved away from New Jersey in 5th grade but always went back for visits in the summers/Christmas and Sean stayed in Sea Girt attending CBA and going to school in Connecticut. We hadn’t seen each other in about 10 years when we met up at a holiday party in 2017 accidentally. Turned out, we both lived in California by then and had lots of things in common. Talking that night lead to a first date in Asbury Park a few days later (which lasted about 7 hours). Three years later, we are happily living together with our dog George in Los Angeles following our dreams and keeping each other as sane as possible. We are truly best friends and couldn’t be more excited to face our future together.

Yes- we did this during a pandemic! Which is why we are limiting the guest list to only our parents, officiant, and vendors. We hope you understand. After a very hard year, like all of us, an intimate, joyful, celebration of love and family was just what we needed. We will celebrate with everyone we adore and love once it is safe to do so.
