RTD Light Rail
The Light Rail will take you all the way to the Littleton/Mineral Station (https://goo.gl/maps/dbizHWJ3qcH2). You will need to take the A line from the airport to Union Station and transfer over to the C line which will take you the rest of the way. The fair is $9/person and travel time will take about 1.5 hours.
Rental Car

Rental cars are available at the airport at an additional cost due to extra tax's and convenience. If you'd like to take a taxi/uber/lyft away from the airport boundary to find a rental location, it could save money depending on your length of stay. I believe you can return the vehicle to the airport with no extra charges as well, but check with the vendor before doing this.
