we're getting married!

Our best friends #juchie have been dating for a century so it was destined for #gaydrew to eventually happen :) So in late 2010, after some stalking from afar, some good ole online chatting, some group hangouts (like Gayle somehow showing up to an Oktoberfest outing that Judith didn’t happen to be at 🤔 - we are also calling this our first date since we went on a 1-on-1 meal at Denny's afterwards), and a group Austin road trip....#gaydrew became official at a NYE celebration at the stroke of midnight. And here we are 7 years later, getting ourselves hitched! And even more excited about getting to share the same proposal/wedding fiasco timeline with our BFFs! Cheers to 2018!!

We had grown accustomed to celebrating our "dating anniversary" each New Year's Eve at the stroke of midnight, and going out for a nice dinner together on New Year's Day. Little did I know that our 6th New Year's Day together would be a life changer. In Addison Circle, the park where we had our first "date," I said YAS to the love of my life. Leave it to our favorite pastime "PokemonGO" to lure me into this wonderful surprise (...yes, I am admitting this is how the whole proposal went down). Andrew said we had some time to kill before our dinner reservation so we should walk around Addison Circle for some PokemonGo time (since it happens to be a famed Dallas PokemonGo location). So there I go, my eyes glued to my phone marching towards the park grounds. Then right in the middle of me trying to catch a pokemon, (he better be glad it wasn't a rare one)...Andrew approaches me closely and begins to nervously speak and eventually get down on one knee!! Then the happiness continued with a nice intimate dinner with our families, and then even more surprises with a rooftop congratulations with our closest friends. That's the best that I remember it all, and I'm so thankful for all the sneaky secretkeepers that helped make this night so special! Few months later, I found out the sneakiness wasn't exactly over! It ended up that Andrew & my sister, Grace, had been planning & designing a custom engagement ring! It wasn't exactly ready at the time of the proposal, so it was like I got re-proposed to all over again! And here we are, 1 year after our proposal date, and we're still going on PokemonGo dates (...yes, we are part of the few that still play the game haha). We have kicked off each year with LOVE and are looking forward to 2018 being the best year yet! We are truly blessed and overjoyed with all the love and support from our friends and family throughout our journey as a couple - we cannot wait to celebrate our big day with you all in a few months!
