I first met Paul after he applied to be a crew member on Whale Wars, and he quickly became the biggest pain in my ass in the South China Sea, beating even the Chinese Navy for the title. Though he wildly exaggerated his experience and capabilities, he's one of those kids who never studies, then shows up and aces the test anyways. I met Anna during my sophomore year at Vanderbilt, and something just clicked; I'm not sure if it was our equivalent sassy wit, our love for Jesus and adventure, or all of the above, but we did it all: from day-to-day roommate life, to skydiving in Switzerland, and to many, many phone conversations across the miles. Part actor, part diplomat, and all-around creative, Josh enjoys prowling the mean streets of Downtown LA when he's not auditioning for roles or acting in Paul's films. I first met Jeremy during the early days of college in Santa Barbara, through his girlfriend (now-wife) Heather McLaughlin, who I grew up with in Ojai. Even though we have no overlapping friends in our Venn diagram, we have remained close friends for over a decade. I met Amy in elementary school and we have been best friends and sisters since high school and to this very day. Through many ups, downs, and life changes, Amy has always been the first to call, check in, send flowers, and give the best life pep talks -- I truly wouldn't have made it to my wedding day without her steady advice and belief that my special guy was on his way to me. Sam has the unique claim to fame as the token Aussie in the group. Also a shooter on the Whale Wars crew, Sam decided he liked Antarctica so much that he has continued to go back without us year-after-year. He now photographs and guides seasonally all the way down under. Sam and I have watched many an Antarctic sunrise together, bonding under the extremely crazy circumstances that every summer in Antarctica brought. I met Maureen in high school but we became very close over the course of multiple adventures post-college, from the sun-drenched Coachella Valley to the snowy and cinematic streets of Park City, Utah. Maureen is my adventure sister and one of my biggest cheerleaders in career, life, and love, and is always there to hand me a glass of (only red) wine or send flowers when it's most needed. Nathan and I met at Apple HQ in Cupertino, roommates in flashy corporate condominiums during young Genius training. We quickly bonded over our love of phô and OCD-levels of germ-awareness. Many Steve Jobs keynotes later, we are both living in LA, though Nathan lives downtown and I live on the westside, so we only see each other once a year. Frances is the second most important person I met online (after Gavin!), in an admission chat while dispensing advice about business school! Frances immediately became a forever friend through the ups and downs of grad school and then life post-grad.
