Vanessa- "I was living in Southern California and my family from NorCal was visiting Pasadena. My cousin asked me to come out to LA to come celebrate her birthday while she was visiting. She also invited one of her guy friends to come out since he was temporarily living down there. Gavin and I met that night and he found out I worked down the street from him in Huntington Beach. I was a bartender at a cute, little karaoke bar! He started to visit me after we met. As far as I knew, we had no interest in each other and he was just a cool guy! After a couple of months of him consistently visiting me 1-2 times a week, I had told him that I am moving to Half Moon Bay, CA because I wanted to be closer to my family up north! Gavin- "In September of 2018 I decided to make the move back to Half Moon Bay. At this time, I thought I was never going to see Vanessa again. Before I moved in September, I went to the bar to basically see her for the last time. I was feeling kind of sad because I had a crush on her but I knew the chances of seeing her again were slim. I made the move back up North but I had to come back to Huntington Beach for work shortly after. While I was in town I decide to drive by the bar and see if Vanessa was working and she was!!! I pulled in and the first thing she said to me when I walked into the bar was, “Gavin guess what?!?!?!” I then replied, "what?" Vanessa said, “I am moving to Half Moon Bay!!!!!” I was in such shock and I literally had the BIGGEST smile I ever had in my life. I was in complete disbelief. After she told me this news I was SOOOO excited. She told me she will be moving to Half Moon Bay in early October so I immediately started to plan activities I wanted to do with her in Half Moon Bay. This is when the pursuit of Vanessa officially started. The chase to be her best friend, lover, her rock, and her everything has now turned into us getting married.
