As all good relationships and loves tend to blossom these days..it started with a swipe in 2020. On our first date, we hiked the cliffs of Torrey Pines in La Jolla, California, talking like old friends, feeling like we had known each other forever. Tori knew Gavin was the one the moment he surprised her on their first date with an enhanced portable iPhone camera lens because she’d mentioned loving taking pictures to capture every moment especially with those she cares about. Tori could tell instantly how sweet, patient, and thoughtful Gavin is. Gavin knew Tori was the one because "she was easy to talk to, her charm, wit, confidence, and their values aligned perfectly". The two dated for four years, when Gavin decided to surprise her with a proposal at her favorite winery on November 11, 2024(11:11)! Now they live together in La Jolla, California where they moved last February. Tori and Gavin enjoy spending a lot of time with their friends and family. They care deeply about others and always have something to celebrate with the people they love most! They are truly honored to be surrounded by so many amazing people in their lives and feel rich in family and friendship. The two have done a lot together, from road trips, to Hawaii, to Mexico, and all over the U.S., they are always on the go. They love traveling, adventure, animals (especially their two golden retriever puppies that they welcomed home in December, Honey and Brody), Italian dinners, elongated weekend trips, and just spending time together at home. Tori and Gavin have a shared love for the US's east and south coastal towns and beaches and plan to visit more when they have more free time...which is almost never:) Tori and Gavin also plan to go to Europe on their honeymoon! Gavin has never been and Tori has been dying to take him to her favorite place in the world, Italy! Gavin's simple pleasures are golf, surfing, beaching, and chick-fil-a. Tori's are reading, running outdoors, her friends and family, parties, old music and movies, concerts (especially country music festivals), volunteering with individuals with disabilities, and community service and events. Tori works in Government Affairs and Community Relations at UC San Diego Health, where she works on health policy advocacy and is always out in the community. Gavin is a data ops manager for American Specialty Health and is enrolled in an MBA program at WGU. They can't wait for their future together!
