We met unexpectedly at the University of Jamestown in North Dakota. When I came here, I never imagined I would find the love of my life; I think that’s why I chose to leave sunny California for blizzard North Dakota. We did not meet in person until after a couple of weeks of talking on Snapchat. He was a big-shot football player. I was just a freshman. He was known on campus for having a loud car (a modified Subaru); he was offended that I had no idea who he was. So we decided to meet in a study hall, called Lyngstad, to study. I arrived first and waited for him. I was wearing a sweater, baggy sweats, and lilac crocs. He came through the doors looking like a cool dude. He was wearing a tie-dye green and black long sleeve with jeans and Yeezys. We had different impressions of how this meeting was supposed to go. I was intimidated by his appearance and said about four words that night. For some reason, he still was interested in me and asked me out on a proper date. A couple of nights later, he drives me to Apple Bees in the infamous red Subaru. We have stuck together since 2019. Here we are about to tie the knot for eternity. From our experience, love appears in the most unexpected moments of life.
