We have pushed our wedding to December 31st, 2021! The reception and ceremony are the same locations. We want everyone to feel comfortable and safe, so we decided to push our wedding a few more months to allow more time for people to get vaccinated. We love all of you, and we can't wait to see you in December!

Oh yeah, this happened in ROME! After a quick breakfast Lindsay and I rode a taxi over to the Parco Savello, a garden filled with giant Roman pines and quaint little orange trees. The sun had just risen and mingled with early morning mist. Lindsay and I arrived at the garden and immediately began walking towards the balcony that gave a panoramic view of the entire city. Upon closer inspection I saw a bike tour standing on the balcony, threatening my plans!! Lindsay noticed something was off when I nervously (and a little angrily) said “They need to LEAVE!”. BUT they eventually left and we made our way towards the balcony, and every step closer my heart was beating faster and faster. When we got to the balcony I grabbed her hand, went down on one knee, and spoke from the heart: "So Lindsay, you are the world to me, my everything. In our life together I can’t promise you easier roads or skies that look like this, what I can promise you is unconditional love, safety, and comfort; a best friend when times get difficult. I can give you an unending love. Lindsay, will you marry me?” When I finally asked the big question, in that instant I saw a mixture of surprise, happiness, but above all, I saw unconditional love beam from her face as we hugged. The funny part was that she didn’t give me a yes or no (she eventually said yes! :) PS: Gavin had faked me out a few times before Italy (a la Jim from the Office fake out). He would get down on one knee at a beautiful location and ask me to wait while he ties his shoe. So when this started happening in ROME, I did not believe it was real. And then the ring popped out. And I said “OH?!”
