Gavin is a proud beef and sheep farmer, working side by side with his dad on the family farm. When he’s not busy lambing or moving cattle, you’ll find him keeping active—whether it’s playing 5-a-side football or pulling tug of war. A true Rangers fan, Gavin rarely misses a chance to cheer on the mighty team from the stands at Ibrox. Gavin and Holly first crossed paths through Young Farmers. Rumour has it, sparks flew during concert week, but it wasn’t until the following year at Dumfries Show that Gavin finally plucked up the courage to ask her out! Since then, their relationship has been full of fun and adventure. From mini golf tournaments to treetop escapades at Go Ape, activity date days are their thing. Now, Gavin’s biggest adventure yet awaits—marrying the love of his life, Holly.
Holly Leitch
Bride
Holly is an Optometrist, currently juggling studying for her independent prescribing course and planning this very wedding at the same time! Outside of wedding planning and studying, Holly has a real passion for Young Farmers, recently finishing her role as club secretary. Partaking in countless YF concerts and talentspots she isn't afraid of the stage! She's also a talented baker, sewer, and seamstress-basically, if it's creative or crafty, Holly's all over it! But don't be fooled-she's just as happy on a girls' day out or dancing into early hours. She and Gavin have been a constant team since 2017, and there's no doubt they're a match made in heaven. They compliment each other perfectly and always have the best times and a great laugh together. She cannot wait for for the big day!
Mark Guthrie
Best Man
Mark takes on the all-important role of Best Man for Gavin – and there’s no one better for the job! A dedicated dairy farmer, Mark has a sharp eye for herd genetics and a particular love for a stylish dairy cow. When he’s not hard at work on the family farm, Mark enjoys travelling and taking a well-earned break from the daily routine – luckily, his fabulous wife is an expert travel planner, which came in very handy for organising the stag do! Mark and Gavin have been friends for years, bonding over Young Farmers, countless ag shows, and more shared laughs than they can count. Known for his witty banter and comical charm, Mark will no doubt keep us all entertained from start to finish!
Laura Borthwick
Maid of Honor
Laura is Holly's cousin and lifelong best friend—a bond built on family, laughter, and years of unforgettable memories. As an SSE Environmental Consultant, Laura's at her happiest when she's outdoors, getting stuck into fieldwork and making the most of nature. When she's off the clock, you'll likely find her tracking down the best hidden pastry and coffee spots or at a rugby game cheering from the sidelines. Not to mention, Laura has an incredible artistic flare. She has a real talent for creating beautiful drawings and paintings and commissioned pieces, and can really turn her hand to anything. Whether it's adventure, good laugh, or great company, Laura's always up for it-and she's bringing that same energy to the celebrations! The perfect Maid of Honour!
Christopher Shearer

Christopher is Gavin’s older brother and a proud new dad! A secondary school technical teacher, Christopher is highly skilled in woodwork and metalwork – and even more impressively, has the patience to teach it to teenagers every day. When he’s not in the classroom you'll probably find him on two wheels – tearing through dirt tracks, chasing the thrill and living life at full speed! Clearly, the cheeky pupils at school didn’t put him off parenthood, as he and his wife Heather have recently welcomed a beautiful new bundle of joy into the world. We wish them all the best in this exciting new chapter! Gavin and Christopher catch up while heading to Ibrox to cheer on Rangers together, these two share a bond built on family, football, and plenty of banter. Reliable, thoughtful, and always up for a laugh, Christopher is the perfect addition to Gavin’s wedding party.
Sarah Hodge
Bridesmaid
Sarah is a specialist radiographer by day (and often night!). When she’s not looking after patients, you’ll find her out walking, planning a day trip, or embracing a well-earned night out. Known for her unstoppable energy and inability to call it a night, Sarah is guaranteed to get the dance floor going! Just be careful with those dance moves... she doesn't have time to x-ray any broken bones! Sarah and Holly met at 16 through Young Farmers and have been besties ever since. From attending the same university and being next door neighbours in student accommodation, to countless days out, nights in, and unforgettable holidays, they’ve packed a lifetime of memories into the past decade—and the best is still to come!
Stuart Leitch
Usher
Stuart is Holly’s older brother and, like any good siblings, there may have been the odd clash over the years – though things have been much more peaceful since Holly moved off the family farm! A dedicated dairy farmer with a soft spot for Jersey cows and all things miniature, Stuart brings both charm and cow knowledge in equal measure. Outside the farm, he enjoys a game of seven-a-side football and is a loyal supporter of Kilmarnock at Rugby Park. Laid-back and easy-going, Stuart is very much a “go with the flow” kind of guy – and we’ve been told he’ll do exactly as he’s told on the big day... we’ll hold him to that!
Megan MacDonald
Bridesmaid
Megan works as a policy advisor for the UK Governments Cabinet Office - which basically means she spends her weekdays at a desk but makes up for it by spending any free time running, walking the dogs, or doing a bit of functional fitness, or slowing down with a jigsaw and a cup of tea. Megan is actually Gavin's third cousin, and they grew up together on neighbouring farms in Eaglesham. The Eaglesham crew took dances, concert practices and 21st parties by storm - belting out The Climb by Miley Cyrus on the way. Megan met Holly at her first Young Farmers event at 14 years old, and from then on have been inseparable ever since! All these years later the memories (and mischief!) are still going strong.
Tom Leitch
Usher
Tom is Holly’s younger brother and proudly holds the title of family wind-up merchant! A hardworking tractor contractor and all-round agricultural hand, Tom can turn his skills to just about any machinery or fieldwork task you throw at him. Outside of work, you’ll spot him at Young Farmers events – especially tug of war competitions, where he’s been known to pull his weight and then some! True to his "work hard, play hard" motto, Tom’s never far from a Superdry polo shirt and a pint in hand. Expect to find him on the dancefloor in high spirits, making sure everyone’s having a good time – just as any great usher should!
Erin Shearer
Bridesmaid
Erin is Gavin’s twin sister, and the two share that unmistakable twin bond – forged through years of shared experiences, including their time in Young Farmers where Erin also served as secretary, just like Holly! Erin and Holly are also united by their mutual love for Taylor Swift (expect some singalongs!). Erin is a dedicated police officer, helping out in the community – though she’s currently on maternity leave and embracing a whole new role- motherhood! She has recently given birth to a beautiful baby girl with her partner Lewis and is busy navigating the wonderful world of newborn life! When not on feeds or busy changing nappies, Erin enjoys getting creative with home décor, testing out new recipes, and spending quality time with family. She brings warmth, organisation, and a whole lot of heart to the bridal party – not to mention some serious multitasking skills!
Andrew Taylor
Usher
Andrew will be taking on the important role of usher for Gavin. A full-time farmer with a passion for vintage tractors, Andrew and Gavin go way back to their days at SRUC agricultural college, where they bonded over all things farming. Their friendship continued through their time in Young Farmers, where Andrew made a name for himself with his musical talents and standout performances in the club concerts. Known for his clever and methodical nature, Andrew is a natural fit for ushering duties – trusted to keep things running smoothly on the big day!
Victoria Hudson
Bridesmaid
Victoria is also an Optometrist and met Holly during their university days studying Optometry. Their friendship was forged over countless study sessions, shared optical interests, and a mutual love of all things eyes! Through many university nights out and pub crawls – they’ve definitely collected a few stories along the way! Outside of work, you’ll often find Victoria and Holly at a concert, always on the hunt for their next live music fix – from Sabrina Carpenter to JLS. When they’re not in the exam room, you might catch them powering through a spin class together, keeping each other motivated. They also share a love of books – constantly swapping recommendations. And if Holly doesn’t quite get round to reading it, you can bet she’s got the audiobook version on the go!
Scott Brown
Usher
Scott is another of Gavin’s trusty ushers and a fellow farmer – and newlywed! Having recently tied the knot himself, he’s assured Gavin that married life is absolute bliss. Scott and Gavin first met at Crossroads Young Farmers where their friendship grew through countless dances, beer tents, and unforgettable stories that may or may not ever be fully told. Scott was known to enjoy a well-timed power nap, but hopefully he’ll manage to stay awake so everyone can see his move s on the dance floor. With his easy going nature and recent wedding experience, Scott is more than ready to lend a hand and keep things on track for the big day!
