We’re getting married!

Cassidy &. Gavin both ended up going on a family vacation to the Comal River in New Braunfels June 27,2021. Cassidy saw him first , but was too shy to ask him for his age so, Brooke ( Cassidy’s Maid of Honor) asked him. Once Cassidy found out he was around her age she realized there might be a chance. The family Cassidy was with (Brooke’s family) started talking with Gavin’s parents. That's when she found out he was from Alvin and they lived just a town over from each other. They found each other on social media and ended up following each other. That night as they talked in the hot tub at the condo laughing, and getting to know each other, they realized quickly it was not just another fling that would end after the vacation. After that night he left to go back home, but that wasn't the last of them. They hung out everyday that summer and on July 23,2021 after asking her parents if it was ok, he asked her to be his girlfriend. Five years later and here they are getting married as high school sweethearts.

When deciding how to propose, Gavin was going to take her back to the place it all began. However, after seeing the ring and asking her dad there was no way he could wait any longer. Gavin planned a “family photoshoot” early in the morning on Christmas Eve. After a couple family pictures were taken, it was time for individual pictures of just the couples. That’s when Gavin got down on one knee and asked Cassidy to marry him, with both their families around she said yes!
