Jenny is my one and only big sister, my best friend, and my number one role model. My go-to person for opinions, small decisions, and spiritual wisdom — she is genuine, effortlessly funny, and a great listener! We may live in different states now, but a few things remain the same: we still love the Jonas Brothers, we still share the same taste in clothing and accessories, and we will always be sisters and friends for life!! Jenny also loves texting me the most random things, meeting all the dogs, and eating homemade Chex Mix with her husband, Ben.

When Buddy and I first met he was holding a box of donuts and from then on I knew we were going to be friends. Having lived with Buddy for three years during college, I have had the privilege of getting to experience firsthand the wealth of wisdom that this guy has. He is a caring friend and has been a model for me for what it means to sacrificially love the people around you. I feel incredibly blessed to have had Buddy as a housemate, coworker, and now best-man!

Maddie (or, affectionately, Mads) is one of the most intentional human beings I know and a steadfast friend who teaches me much about what it means to be faithful. A fun story: one late summer night, Maddie and I were in my car on our way to Cookout when I suddenly realized that after running away from it for quite some time, maybe I did, in fact, want to pursue a relationship with Gavin. As one of my roommates for the past two years, she has witnessed our relationship from the beginning, and I can’t imagine our wedding day without her next to us!

When Kristen and I first started getting close, before I even asked her out on a coffee date, Ben texted me excitedly: "We could be brothers!" While he was absolutely right, Ben has been a brother for a long time before now. He is a faithful friend and has been a spiritual battery-charger for many years in my life. Ben is passionate about many things including Jesus, Taylor Swift, and the hot sauces he fermented himself and he will never hesitate to share those passions with others.

Emily and I like to remind everyone that the week we met was the same week that we shared a room and a king-sized bed during a Chi Alpha beach retreat after our first year. We also like to joke that we are basically the same person: we lived together for two years during college, regularly showed up to events wearing the same outfit, had the exact same major and minor, are both Type Nines on the Enneagram, and love ourselves some #cozyvibes. Em is a gracious, caring, and true one-of-a-kind friend. I had the honor and joy of standing beside her on her wedding day, and am thrilled to have her next to me on mine!

When I first met Thomas, my first thought was this guys is too cool to be interested in joining my Core Group. He really proved me wrong! Thomas has been a faithful brother and solid rock in my life for the last three years. He comes from Urbanna, VA home to the one and only Oyster Fest, which if you've hung around him for very long you are sure to hear him talk about it. Thomas has many passions beyond oysters including: baking banana bread, classic records, and an undying commitment to the NY Jets.

Danielle was one of my first year small group leaders, then my fellow camp counselor, then my housemate, and now we're in grad school together! I feel like she's literally watched me "grow up" over the years! She is incredibly caring and has listened to me process many dilemmas, including the ones surrounding those ambiguous coffee "hangouts" that Gavin asked me to in the earliest days. She is also my go-to source for any UVA sports updates — which I don't often ask for, but if I ever need them, I know who to ask!!

Zach Hay

Zach and I originally met when he moved to Charlottesville to serve on staff with Chi Alpha. Before we even started working together I witnessed Zach get stung all up and down his leg by a jellyfish and handle the pain with an incredible degree of poise and composure. Having gotten to know Zach significantly more since then, I am shocked because Zach is one of the most entertainingly dramatic people I know. He is a joy to be around and a caring and dear friend who is almost always up for a deep conversation. Zach also read Dune before it was cool, so if that interests you talk to him about that.

Natalie Park

As Nat and I have lived together these past two years, we've bonded over Korean food, Tik Tok sounds, sharing a wall, and washing each other's dishes even when the other person explicitly says not to. Nat is fun, thoughtful, servant-hearted, and so good at loving people well. She has definitely influenced me in terms of humor and sass, and I'm not complaining about it!! As someone else who has also had a front-row seat to this relationship from the beginning, she has loved and encouraged us as a couple so much — and provided us with many, many laughs.

Bradley understands the value of pursuit. When I was thinking about how my relationships would change after graduation, I thought to myself: Bradley could live on the freaking moon and he would still do everything in his power to pursue our friendship. He is an incredibly passionate dude and a faithful follower of Jesus. He enjoys loud music, strobe lights, fog machines, Amazon.com, and beverages.

Liv & I met in undergrad, but it wasn't until we lived together last year that we REALLY, really became pals. No matter who you are, I guarantee you that if you sit down in conversation with Liv, you'll blink and hours will have passed without you even realizing it. Liv is a joyful friend who cares deeply about the people she loves. Even though we now live on opposite sides of the country, it is so easy to love and feel loved by Liv!! Someday, she'll convince Gavin to join her in a dance workout... someday.

Tommy Landes

I have had the privilege of getting to do life with Tommy for a long time, and as such watch him grow in many ways. I remember in one of our first few interactions, I went to his apartment and taught him how to use his calendar and to set reminders for himself. He has come a long way since then. Even though his adulting skills were lacking when we first met, Tommy understood people. Tommy is one of the most loving guys you will ever meet and he will share your excitement for just about anything, though he still has plenty of his own passions. Tommy loves Jesus, cookout, the Milwaukee Bucks, and the homies. Tommy is a loyal friend, a great teammate, and a lights-out shooter from the three-point line.

Elnet and I lived together in college, and even though we don't get to see each other much now that we live in different states, she is a steady and caring friend who always makes me feel seen and celebrated. She is bold, intentional, and a queen at hosting and cultivating comfy, cozy spaces. She's also just one of the coolest people I know, but in an effortless, natural way, you know? Elnet inspires me in many ways — in her fashion, her cooking, her commitment to her values and her people, and more — and I'm so thankful to have her as my bridesmaid!

When I was a first year at UVA, Brady was one of the first people I met. Brady is an incredibly thoughtful friend and brother. He is also one of the most driven people I know whether you're playing sports, a board game, or really anything in between Brady will find a way to win. His drive also extends into how he approaches people. Anyone who gets to know Brady will come to see that he is incredibly intentional and takes the time to make the people he sits across from feel seen and known. It is one of the greatest joys of my life to have Brady as a friend.
