We met in Zoom class in early 2021 in the midst of the ongoing pandemic (romantic, we know). Although we were studying totally different subjects at CSUF, we ended up in the same economics class together: the one subject where math and social studies intersect! Our professor strongly encouraged everyone in class to get to know each other and form study groups. Before she knew it, Danielle had an email from Gavin with the subject line, "Hi." FaceTime study sessions turned into in-person hangouts, and the rest is history! We got our own place a couple of years into our relationship and have since adopted three adorable cats. We often reflect on how we met and realize that the odds of us ever meeting were slim in the first place. Our shared class was the only one we ever had together, on top of the fact that both of us intended to go to different schools entirely before we ended up at CSUF. We feel so lucky to know each other, and are so excited to be taking this next step together. :)
