Nathan moved from Leesville, Louisiana taking a job opportunity, through Proctor and Gamble, to move across the country to West Virginia. Katherine, who was born and raised in West Virginia, was home for the summer from college. On May 11th, 2021, they matched on Tinder. On the 18th, they went on their first date, where they talked for hours getting to know each other, and by the end of the night decided they should go on another date... the very next day. Their second date was Katherine's favorite, they went out to eat, but did not dress to impress. They met at a Mexican restaurant wearing sweats. They lost track of time again, and have been together since. Nathan visited Saint Francis University many times to see Katherine during her senior year, and after graduation they decided to move in together with their two dogs Zeke the Freke and Rona Louise. In December of 2023, they went to go visit Nathan's family in Louisiana, and proposed! Katherine enthusiastically screamed "Yes!" Now the wedding planning has begun...
