Oak Island
Spend some time on the beach at Oak Island, where we got engaged & where we are getting married!
Airlie Gardens
67 Acres of beautifully maintained gardens by the ocean. One of our favorite places to take a stroll under the Spanish moss covered trees, and see various birds, turtles, and other wildlife! *About an hour drive from the venue.
North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher
We love our aquarium trips! It’s a little over an hour drive from the venue, or you can drive to Southport and take a ferry over to Fort Fisher! On your drive you can make stops to see sights in Wilmington (the Battleship is pretty cool to see & tour!). Or make a pitstop at Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, or the Fort Fisher State Historic Site!
Broadway at the Beach
If you’re making this a several day trip, this is a really fun place to visit in Myrtle Beach, SC! There are plenty of restaurants (like Margaritaville!), shops, amusement rides (ex. swan boats/speedboats, zipline, etc.) museums, another great aquarium (Ripley’s), all in walking distance of one another! Top Golf is also a fun activity located right outside this area. *An hour and twenty from the venue.
Koko Cabana
This restaurant is on the Oak Island Pier, which is directly next to our venue. Delicious food with an amazing view!
Lonerider at Oak Island
One of our go-to lunch spots with a beautiful view of the inlet!
Lazy Turtle Bar & Grill
Great place to grab a bite to eat, while sitting right on the beach!
