Things To Do
Short Sand Beach, Oswald West State Park
This park costs $10 to park, but the views are well worth the money. The main trail from the parking lot to Short Sand Beach is an easy 0.5 miles, but it provides a beautiful path though some large old-growth trees. The beach itself is a small, secluded beach that has very beautiful views. It’s one of the jewels of Tillamook County.
Tillamook Creamery
This is a staple of Tillamook. If you've never been, it can be a fun way to kill a little time, learn about cheese, get free cheese, and eat some yummy ice cream.
Tillamook Forest Center
This is a very weather dependent activity. If we are blessed with nice weather, this is a nice place to see a little bit of the beautiful forests that surround Tillamook. There are some outside trails and an interactive visitors center.
Cape Meares Lighthouse
This free state park has beautiful views of the ocean and features a small lighthouse and a uniquely branched Sitka Spruce lovingly called 'The Octopus Tree' that is an oddity unique to the Tillamook area.
