It still amazes us how two people from completely different places— Kyle from the bright lights of Las Vegas and Hannah from the sweet charm of Georgia— could spend time living in the same city and never meet… until God decided the timing was finally right. Though our paths could have crossed in Chattanooga, they didn’t. Instead, life carried us both to Kansas, a place neither of us originally called home— but the place where our hearts were meant to find each other. Hannah is a true Georgia peach—born and raised in the South. In 2022, she made a big move to Kansas, bringing her Southern roots with her. Hannah is a surgical nurse who through her job, she met and formed a special bond with Traci Payne (Hall), a coworker who quickly became family. Kyle had been connected to KS for years, spending his summers playing baseball for the Cannons and staying with the Hall family, who welcomed him like one of their own. What he didn’t know then was that these same people would later become family to Hannah as well. In October 2022, Kyle returned to KS for Katie and Judd’s wedding. During that trip, with a little encouragement, he applied to the Wichita Fire Department— and by January 2023, he was officially calling KS home. Meanwhile, Traci Payne (Hall) had been quietly playing matchmaker, talking about Kyle to Hannah long before we ever met. And on July 3rd, when she invited Hannah to their family 4th celebration, she knew exactly what she was doing. We didn’t realize we were being set up but God certainly did. And from the moment we met, everything felt easy, natural, and beautifully meant to be. Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” God’s perfect plan was unfolding all along, guiding us toward each other at just the right moment. We’ve been inseparable ever since, grateful every day that life waited until the perfect moment to bring our two worlds together.
