We initially met in January of 2022. I (Ally) had just moved to England and Jake was getting ready to move back to the US four days after I arrived. In the span of those four days and after a terrible first impression, we had both separately come to the conclusion that we did NOT like each other at all. A blissful year and a half passed by from that point until the Lord brought us both back to Birmingham, UK right around the same time in August of 2023. We were going to be on the same team which had me (Ally) feeling pretty nervous because I had already made up my mind that I did not like Jake and now we had to work together. Jake on the other hand has always said that he had full confidence that we would be friends! Lo and behold... he was right! After a rocky start, we slowly but surely started to become pretty good friends! We discovered that we actually get along quite well and love to laugh together and have deep conversations with one another. We became such good "friends" that we even started to like one another beyond the friendship level. After six months of close friendship, Jake asked me (Ally) on a date! On the second date, we became a couple. From that point on, you could say that the rest is history! Our love for one another has slowly grown over the past year and a half and we are so excited to officially start our lives together as husband and wife! The Lord has been so gracious to us and we are so grateful for this sweet gift of marriage. We can't wait to celebrate with you all!
